On Sunday past I had the pleasure of attending Essex Fashion Week with my best friend and photographer Becky Webber. (Photography by Becks)
As a fan of the hit TV show “The Only Way is Essex” and a fanatic of all things fashion, I was more than a little intrigued to see what the event had to offer.
Essex fashion is all about extravagance and the show definitely lived up to that reputation.
Taking place in the City Pavillion, Romford, the Millennium Suite was transformed into a fashion playground with a stunning catwalk and many stalls to shop from before taking our seats to watch the show.
As VIP ticket holders, we were greeted with a glass of champagne, seated right next to the catwalk and were served a 3 course meal whilst the models made their way along the runway.
The show was a celebration of all things Summer, with an ode to Marbella pool parties and lots of beach ready swimwear on display.
During the interval, we had the opportunity to peruse the items on sale and mingle with the designers and celebs who were taking part in the event. After the show was finished the room was transformed into a very cool lounge style area by “Love Juice”, where the catwalk became the dance floor and we partied the night away.
It was a wonderful, yet eye opening experience to be at the show and was very different to anything I had ever experienced! We even made some fab new friends who were seated with us at our table with whom we spent the night people watching and having a lot of fun!
A truly enjoyable evening with great company!
