Lights, Camera, Fashion – Showtime

It has been a long wait, but here, for you, finally is an insight into my wonderful Fashion Show “Lights, Camera, Fashion” which took place on the 26th April.
I organised the show in aid of my local leisure centre which is unfortunately struggling financially at the moment and is a cause very close to my heart, so I decided to combine my love of fashion and performance to create a fundraiser to help.
The event took place in the Plaza, Buncrana which is a stunning old ballroom with a beautiful vintage feel and was transformed on the night by “Unit 7” into a fashion wonderland.
I had some absolutely stunning boutiques and talented designers displaying on the night, many of which were local and many who travelled to make their Donegal debut.
I was honoured to have some of the top Northern Irish Designers showing on the night such as
Nor Lisa Fashion, Rebro Jewellery, Una Rodden,
Mohawk Fashion Design, Finders Keepers Couture,
John Paul Couture Fashion and Millinery,
Audrey’s Millinery &
Bitchen Bits and some amazing boutiques like
Boudoir Boutique NI, Identity Boutique,
Pippa Boutique, Blush Boutique, Bridal Showroom, and
Gino/NV.
I also had some fabulous performers on the night such as my very own drama students, Elite Dance Crew, Jazz it Up and Rainbow Dance Academies and the very talented
Roisin Carlin who was a contestant on “The Voice of Ireland”.
As sole organiser of the event, I was absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity of people willing to donate their time, their skills and their goods for raffle prizes.
Every one of my models were elegant and professional, a pleasure to work with! Each one of them were glamorised by talented local hairdressers and MUA’s including
Zissors by Sonya, Shauna Doherty, Ciara Fullerton,
The Make up Studio by Lisa, Michelle McColgan, Teresa Doherty and Maggie Lynch.
I chose to wear a beautiful full length vintage gown from Boudoir Boutique, as I was presenting the show I wanted just the right amount of “Wow Factor” and this dress was just the ticket.
Unfortunately I have not yet received all of the photographs from the show, so as I receive them I will add to this post to let you see more and more of the beautiful items that were on display on the night.
Be sure to keep checking back to this post for more fashion fabulous items but in the mean time have a look at the video at the bottom of this post by
Campaign Social which gives some of the highlights from the show.
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped out on the night and supported our local lesiure centre. We made approximately €3500 profit for the cause which I am so proud of and for which the centre is very appreciative.
