This outfit was inspired by the Louis Vuitton “Cherry Blossom” collection, which is an old favourite of mine, designed by Takashi Murakami.
I dug out my cherry blossom “pochette” handbag to take with me to Marbella as I hadn’t worn it for a while and it made me remember why I loved it so much all those years ago.
In my teens and early twenties I was the ultimate girly girl. Everything had to be pink, including my car at the time which was a bright barbie pink Volkswagen Beetle. Although I’ve since grown out of that stage, I will always love the colour and this handbag brings back so many happy memories of that time.
The outfit I chose to compliment the bag consisted of a pink crop top from Topshop and a River Island asymmetric skirt in purple.
I am loving River Islands skirts at the moment as they are so comfortable and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion and the variety of colours means that there is one to suit every taste.
Have you got any items that you can dig out of your wardrobe that stir up lots of happy memories?
If so I would love to hear about them!
