Recently I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of Amy Creswell, my boyfriends sister, to her fiancé Gareth Lavery.
The wedding took place in the majestical surroundings of “The Watermill Hotel” in Lisnaskea, Northern Ireland which is situated right beside Lough Erne, with stunning views from every angle.
We travelled to the venue the evening before the wedding where we had a beautiful dinner and stayed in quaint little chalets right by the waters edge.
On the morning of the wedding the sun was shining and the weather was simply beautiful, perfect to enjoy the picturesque location.
As the bride was busy getting ready, she was completely unaware of the surprise that awaited her. Thanks to the unexpected appearance of the sun, the wedding venue was changed to an outdoor setting with a breathtaking view of the lake and surroundings filled with the last flowers of summer.
As Gareth patiently awaited the arrival of his bride to be, the soft music of a harp wafted in the breeze and when Amy appeared there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.
Her dress was absolutely beautiful, so classic, so chic and she looked every inch the fairytale princess that every girls dreams to be on their wedding day!
After a lovely ceremony, the wedding party, which consisted of two beautiful bridesmaids glowing in royal blue and a rather dapper looking set of groomsmen made their way through the scenery to have their photographs taken on the banks of the lake.
When I attend a wedding I always struggle with what to wear so I cannot imagine what I will be like if I am ever to tie the knot myself. Bridezilla would not have a look in!
I like to wear something to suit the style and setting of the day, so what better for this flower filled occasion than a brightly coloured Vintage beaded dress with a floral print on the side?
Instead of opting for a hat to match, I decided on two corsages which I joined together and made into a head piece for the day.
I would like to thank the newlyweds Amy and Gareth Lavery for inviting me to be a part of their wonderful wedding day and wish them a long and happy future together!
Enjoy
