Styling for “Gino’s” Menswear

IMG_1186

Last Week I was delighted to be asked to style a photo shoot for Gino’s Menswear in Derry/Londonderry.
Until now my blog has primarily been about Women’s Clothing, however if you are as fashion obsessed as myself you will be interested to see the latest menswear trends for Spring/Summer, particularly if you have a special man in your life whose birthday may be approaching.
When working as a stylist I absolutely love picking outfits to suit the individual and for this particular shoot I worked with three models, each one having their own unique look and tastes. My job was made very easy by Gino’s large selection of stock to suit every style and personality.
On the day I myself decided to go for a more casual look than usual wearing Khaki and Camouflage, accessorising with a funky army print Juicy Couture Handbag.
For this shoot we were lucky enough to have some beautiful locations to work in such as the Craft Village, The Derry walls and The Peace Bridge (as seen here) and although these beautiful sites are all in perfect walking distance from Gino’s store, I really must remember that sometimes Pride does feel Pain and a simple pair of ballet flats would have made a great substitute for my killer heels.

Heres what he had to say…
This season Spring/Summer 2012 with Gino’ s is exciting with new stock arriving daily. We are leading the way into Spring with coloured prints and folk-inspired pieces giving your style staples a fresh perspective. Denim, chinos and casual shirts are the foundations of this seasons key looks. Our versatile pieces will have something for everyone’s tastes.
We have plain T-shirts, contrasting colours, scoop necks, vests, graphic print and bright summer-proof colours. Wear them under short sleeved shirts or over shorts for the beach and let your clothes do the talking.
As chinos have been such a hit this year, we now have the latest update on the trend, chino shorts. They can be worn with a shirt or hoody and canvas trainers when it gets hot. Or, if that’s a bit of a stretch, put them on with a v-neck T-shirt and some Vans. This summer, look out for new, brighter colours like burnt orange and deep indigo.
Make sure you look cool this summer with the best sun-ready wardrobe from your local Gino store.
