Style Sunday

As I write this I am currently sitting on my beautiful balcony in Lanzarote soaking up the last of the evening sun. However, before I share some holiday outfits with you I wanted to tell you about an amazing event I attended last Sunday in my home town.
Hairdresser Shauna Doherty, who styled some of the models at my event Lights, Camera, Fashion, organised a Style Sunday event in aid of a very special and unique charity.
The Good and New cancer bus is a service which transports patients from rural areas of County Donegal to Galway, free of charge to receive their treatment. This not only takes the financial strain off a lot of patients but provides them with company and moral support on the long journey.
The event was a wonderful evening of style and fashion from Mc O’s Vintage, Identity Boutique and Una Rodden Couture. There were also a few surprises along the way such as one very brave man, Mr Simon Latham, who agreed to have all of his hair cut off for the Rapunzel Foundation, another amazing charity which provides wigs to cancer patients. There was even a “design your own shoe” competition which was so much fun and our table were lucky enough to come joint first, winning a bottle of champagne! I also had the chance to purchase a brush set from Blank Canvas Cosmetics for less than a third of the price as they had kindly been donated to the cause by creator Una Tynan to help raise vital funds.
The fashions on display were an eclectic mix of modern styles, unique designs and quirky vintage pieces. Una Rodden is one of the top designers in Northern Ireland and her sister Joanne runs the fab boutique “Identity” in my home town where, for years I have been buying some beautiful clothes.
Mc O’s vintage has only recently opened and is already a top boutique supplying stunning, unique outfits from era’s gone by.
For the event, I myself chose to wear a maxi dress from Firetrap. I matched it with some statement jewellery from Boudoir Boutique and River Island and I finished the look with a handbag from the Versace for H&M collection.
It was such a pleasure to attend an event such as this, particularly knowing that every penny spent is to help people in my own community!
I wish everyone well who suffers from this harrowing illness and congratulate Shauna and her team for doing so well in aiding this cause!

Sounds like a wonderful and rewarding event to be a part of! You look beautiful in this colorful, printed maxi! Very flattering halter cut style too 🙂

Da sind schon sehr viele gewagte Outfits dabei, die gut aussehen, aber auf keinen Fall etwas für mich wären.
