Simple Nail Art #1 – Leopard Print

I am by no means an expert at nail art but one thing I love to do is experiment! Even right back to when I was in secondary school I used to decorate my nails with a tippex pen! Thankfully beauty products have developed since then and you can now pick up many different products to help you design them in any way you choose!
I got the “Tipps” set in Toys R Us in New York and they are fabulous! The colour selection is great and ties in with almost any design that you could imagine! I picked up the pink and black “Nail Art” pens in Topshop.
This was one of the first designs I created so here is a little step by step guide for you guys to try at home! Here’s hoping you have a more steady hand than I do! Let me know how it goes!

Selection Of Colours

STEP ONE : Paint nails with base colour of your choice! I went for white!

STEP TWO: Start to create a polka dot pattern on nails with different colours

STEP THREE: Vary the colours of the polka dots

STEP FOUR: Outline the polka dots with a back edge on the top and bottom of each one to create the leopard print effect. (Don’t be too specific, it doesn’t have to be perfect)

STEP FIVE: Continue this on every nail, or you can pick one to leave blank for a different pattern like I have

STEP SIX: I then filled in the blank nail using the black pen in a zebra stripe pattern

STEP SEVEN: Apply a top coat to set then sit back and admire your work
