On my second day in NYC we decided to do a little sightseeing. We took the open top bus trip around the entire city where we got to see everything from the incredible Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Centre to the breathtaking Empire State building.
It was amazing to see so much of a city that to date I had only seen on Television or in Movies.
We got to stop off at the infamous “Macy’s”, explore the streets of Soho and China Town, gasp in awe at the Statue of Liberty in the distance and experience the tragedy and grief that still lingers on the site of Ground Zero.
New York is a city that evokes many emotions, not always good but poignant none the less.
For a cold trip around the city I chose to wear a pink faux fur hat and scarf from Juicy Couture which I had picked up in the Fifth Avenue store earlier that day. The rest of my outfit was pretty simple as I think you will agree, my hat was enough of a statement!
I even made a new little friend on the journey. Right in the middle of Manhattan Square, a little squirrel came to say hi, he even turned to face the camera to pose for a picture! I do hope he was simply being friendly and not eyeing up my hat as a potential conquest 🙂
