On Saturday night I had the amazing honour of attending the Blog Awards Ireland as a Finalist in the The Osprey Hotel, Naas.
As I have only been blogging for just over 9 months I was very surprised to get as far as the shortlist for the event, so when I heard I had become a finalist I was unbelievably shocked and delighted.
I had made it to the top 10 for the “Best Blog Post” category out of over 100 nominees with my post Man Time Fashion Show and although I knew I wouldn’t win due to being up against some fantastic, long established blogs, I was so thrilled to have gotten this far.
The dress code for the evening was “Festival Theme” so I traded in my original idea of an evening dress and heels for some fringed boots and flowers in my hair. It was so much fun to get dressed up for the night and I was absolutely delighted when they announced that I was the winner of the “Best Festival Themed Outfit” for which I received a night away in the stunning “Lisloughrey Lodge” in County Mayo with Dinner and Breakfast! I am so looking forward to using this fab prize in the very near future!
The Osprey hotel was such a beautiful location for the event and my Mother and I chose to stay there for the weekend. We had a great time relaxing in the hotel and enjoying the slight hint of Autumn sunshine on the beautiful terrace adjoining our hotel room.
It was amazing to meet so many Irish Bloggers at the awards and have the chance to speak with them about their experiences on the world wide web.
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for me in the run up to the awards, well done to all the worthy winners and congratulations to Amanda, Beatrice and Lorna for organising such a wonderful event and for the chance to be a part of it!
Already looking forward to next year!
